Spring in Norway cardigan
“Spring won’t let me stay in this house any longer! I must get out and breathe the air deeply again.”
-Gustav Mahler
And so, with this in mind, let us knit our lacy cardigan full of brand new up turned leaves and join our world to take a deep breath of Spring!
This is a pattern for a Raglan cardigan, worked flat, with front left/right and sleeve lace insert panels. The neck is provisionally cast on and the cardigan is worked from the neck down. Sleeves are worked in the round, and the collar, button/buttonhole bands, and bottom cable and cuff bands added later. There is, also, an option for back and/or side shaping. You are encouraged to try on your cardigan, often, and make it to fit you! (or your intended recipient)
The pattern comes in 2 files, one contains the written instructions and smaller charts, the second contains full charts of the entire cardigan for each size.
I just wanted to add a little comment about the st markers…if your numbers are feeling weird, it may be because you are knitting a size that requires you to remove and then replace markers as the raglan grows to accomodate the lace pattern. You may want to place the markers for the lace at row 9! Happy Knitting!
