This pattern is really forgiving. Choose a slightly thicker yarn, if you wish. This pattern can most probably be made from remnants only from your yarn stash. Otherwise, get 4 colors: grey, black, red and white - the classic Sock monkey pattern colors.

Everyone loves this pattern. I gave my sample away to a client and friend. You too may find that you are making one for yourself, only to give it away, and make another one for yourself, and give that away… and so one. When people see this, they want it.

This is knit flat and a beginners pattern, despite the color work. It’s not difficult at all, and as it is a small project, it’s quite manageable.
