Little babies love to snuggle. This cozy is uniquely designed to keep baby wrapped up tight and safely, in the Car Seat or out. Infant’s legs are inserted first, baby can then be strapped into seat (or placed in grandma’s arms) where swaddle wings fold over and are fastened with buttons or toggles. SnuggleBug wouldn’t be complete without a matching hat. The set is worked in DK weight yarn so that it gives warmth but is not overly bulky, making it safe to wear even while riding in the car. Fits babies up to 6 months – about as long a they will enjoy not having full use of their arms!

Gauge note: Some knitters have had trouble getting my row gauge and thus are concerned about the total length. Here is an easy fix. Cast on more stitches than the pattern calls for on each wing (right before you begin the short rows). Add 4 sts to the RS CO for every 2 sts on the WS CO. This will not require any other adjustments to the pattern aside from working fewer total increase rows, just work until you get the right total stitch count.
