This warm and cozy scarf brings to mind Robert Frost’s poem, ”Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening”. The pattern is for one size and is knit in the round with no more than 2 colors in use at a time. The scarf includes a striped section that tucks snugly around the back of the neck.
Substituting yarn and/or needles will result in an overall variation in size and drape.

GAUGE:
22 sts and 25 rnds = 4”/10cm on larger size needles (over blocked colorwork pattern).
23 sts and 29 rnds = 4”/10cm on smaller size needles (over blocked plain stockinette stitch)

US 6 (4.0mm), or size needed to obtain stitch gauge for colorwork sections
US 5 (3.75m), or size needed to obtain stitch gauge for stockinette sections
