Welcome to winter and snow.
It’s the cusp of winter and holidays and it’s time to knit a little snowy and joyful masterpiece.

The star of this hat is a Snowman, by himself, celebrating a snowy night. So joyful knowing winter is here for a few precious months. I like to think this happens when no one is looking, he is freed from his frozen stance of the day.

I love the MALABRIGO RIOS colors as they add such depth to the finished hat.
Each size has different “snow” patterns.

Four sizes are included. Small, Medium, Large and XLarge. Large shown in photos.
Charts are slightly different by size. Choose size to knit based on desired circumference.

Materials:
MC : Malabrigo Rios in AZUL PROFUNDO ( 125, 140, 150, 160 ) yds / ( 114, 128, 137, 146 ) m
CC : Malabrigo Rios in WHITE ( 60, 70. 80, 90 ) yds / ( 54 63, 73, 82 ) m.
Scraps of Tan, Orange and Blue yarns for stick arms, nose and eye.
Any worsted weight that meets gauge can be substituted.
Add yardage for yarn tassel or Pom Pom..

US Size 6 / 4 mm 24 in. Circular Needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
DPNs in same size as above for decreases. Go up a needle size if a larger hat is desired.

Gauge: 22 st x 26 rows = 4 in / 10 cm in stranded stockinette st, blocked.
Finished Height: ( 7.5, 8, 9, 9 ) in / ( 19, 20, 22.5, 22.5 ) cm
Finished Circumference: ( 16.5, 18, 19, 20.5 ) in / ( 42, 45.75, 48.25, 52 ) cm
