Slippin Mittens and Cowl
These warm accessories are easy to keep on and won’t get lost. The mittens have a handy little space to slip your fingers through for those times when you need just a bit more dexterity without losing any warmth and the cowl can be folded low or snuggled up high over most of the face and neck.
Experience Level: The knitter should have experience in the following techniques
• Knit stitch
• Purl stitch
• Knitting in the round and flat
• Increases and decreases
• Grafting
• Cast on and bind off
Materials:
Needles: Mittens - 2 cir or 1 set of dpns US 8/5 mm
Cowl – 16 in cir US 8/5 mm
Yarn: Mittens – 1 ball each Wool and the Gang Feeling Good yarn, bulky, 142 Yds / 130m, MC Space Black, CC Rocky Grey
Cowl – 1 ball Wool and the Gang Feeling Good yarn, Milky Way Stripe
Gauge: 8.5 sts x 13 rows 2 in /5 cm Make sure to check your gauge
Sizes: Mittens – S(M, L) or 5 ½ (7, 8 1/2) in /14(18, 21 ½) cm hand circumference
Cowl – One size 20 circumference x 9 length in / 51 circumference x 23 length cm
