I love a good oxymoron! The name Simple Convolution is this, as is the pattern; a hat that looks complex, but is surprisingly simple.

Simple Convolution is written for multiple sizes (9 of them, from small newborn up to adult), in 5ply/sport weight yarn.

Construction
Simple Convolution is worked from the brim to crown, in the round.
The ribbed brim transitions to an all-over cable rib pattern.
The relatively rapid crown decreases are worked without incorporating the cable pattern.

working simple cables
