Using a k2tog rather than the more conventional ssk in the lace pattern adds texture to this lovely sock. I like how the patterning breaks up the highly variegated yarn but we’ve added a swatch in plain yellow so you can better see how it looks (see A Tale of Two Colorways at the end).
I named this pattern Shiso because the colors in the yarn reminded me of the plant! The yellow swatch sample photograph will show you what the stitch pattern looks like in a non-variegated yarn.
