This versatile beanie can be made in either Fingering or 4 ply yarn and DK or 8 ply yarn. There are two sets of instructions included to cover both yarn weights. The simple two-row stripe pattern consists of alternating off-set garter ridges to create an optical illusion - shadow knitting.
It is knitted in rounds from the bottom edge up, with a K1, P1 rib band.
It requires average to intermediate knitting skills.

DK or 8 ply yarn
Colour 1 (C1):
approx 50 (70, 90) metres or 55 (77, 99) yards
Colour 2 (C2):
approx 25 (40, 50) metres or 27 (44, 55) yards
