Serenity Infant Christening/Blessing Dress
The Serenity Infant Christening or Blessing Dress was designed for Round 6 of the Battle of the Stitches crochet challenge. It’s beautiful in plain white, but also just as pretty in any color for different occasions.
The pattern includes instructions for a solid under skirt which is fun to work in a different color to let the beautiful lace design of the overlay show at it’s best.
It is available in the Round 6 eBook of the Battle of the Stitches along with 14 other great crochet designs using the Serenity stitch.
A coordinating Serenity Chevron Afghan is included in this pattern. It (the afghan crochet pattern) is also available for free on craftingfriendsdesigns.blogspot.com
I used just about 9oz of Caron Simply Soft for the dress in the photo. Other similar yarns such as Red Heart Soft or I Love This Cotton could also be used as an alternative.
