September (Redux)
This simple, yet elegant lace shawl is just right for a little extra warmth in the fall. Doubling as well as a lightweight, decorative scarf, the design itself has a nice symmetrical look with each side being a mirror image of the other. If you’re already a lace knitter, this is something that can easily be knit up within a few days for a quick accessory addition to your wardrobe.
If you’re new to lace however, you need only be comfortable with increasing and decreasing. This shawl is worked from the center out and uses basic increases and decreases, making it a perfect first lace project.
This is a redux of my September Shawl originally released in 2009 under Dizzy Spinster designs. This has revamped the decreases (and their subsequent directions) as well as lengthened the pattern itself and revamped the edge. I hope you enjoy this updated design!
Last picture is of the shawl prior to blocking.
