The Searsport Cowl design is one of three pieces in a set, named for the famous ship captains’ town on Penobscot Bay. Though the captains and the ships may be gone, the town is still home to many architectural treasures from their time, which can be viewed in detail at the Penobscot Marine Museum right downtown. If you prefer to spend more of your time outdoors, the town’s parks and beaches, especially Sears Island, are fabulous places to explore. If you head out to this coastal treasure, be sure to wear your Searsport Cowl to stay warm and cozy on your adventures!
