Seabed
Seabed - the ground under the sea - the ocean floor.
Seabed is included in my little ebook Fathom along with it’s sister lace hat pattern Knot.
Seabed is a all-over lace hat with a beachy feel. Worked in leafy/shell-style from the ribbing up to the crown of the hat. The instructions are given in both fully written and fully charted formats.
If you are a lover of lace hats! You can get both my lace hat eBooks for $15. Just put both Stone & Sea and Fathom in your cart and the discount will be automagically applied! If you’ve previously bought Stone & Sea you’ll magically get Fathom for just $5!
Yarn:
1 skein of Woolfolk TYND in colourway “No 2” and 1 skein of Woolfolk SNO in colourway “No 1 & 2,” held double. Or two skeins of 223 yards (204 metres) of fingering weight yarn, held double.
Needles:
3.5mm (US 4) knitting needles (or whatever size it takes you to get gauge) in whatever style needles you like to use for knitting a hat in the round (DPNs, Magic Loop, 16” circular needles, etc…). I used 16” circular needles until I needed to work The Decrease Chart and then I switched over to DPNs.
Notions:
1 stitch marker.
Gauge:
23 stitches and 32 rounds = 4” (10cm) square knit in the round in lace pattern and blocked.
Size:
To fit head circumference:
Adult 20” (51cm)
Adult 24” (61cm)
Both sizes height: 10” (25cm).
Sample is shown in Adult 24” (60cm)
