Our meadows used to be noisy places – filled with the sounds of birds and insects. Now they are falling quiet as more and more creatures become endangered, rare and finally extinct, during this earth’s sixth extinction.
This beanie designed for the science march, to highlight science and the challenges it faces, and features a flower border and grass-like pattern reminiscent of grassy meadows.
Instructions are given both for knitting the beanie in the round and for knitting flat and seaming later. An intermediate knitter should have no trouble with this pattern.
It uses DK weight yarn but you can use any yarn that gets the correct gauge.
This pattern was free until April 22nd, 2017.
