Scarecrow Sammy - fall decoration - Halloween pumpkins

Sammy is actually too cute to chase birds away!

This crochet pattern contains detailed description of making this scarecrow, the dungarees and the hat.
The head of Sammy is a pumpkin. You can also make a lot of pumpkins as decoration. It is all included in the pattern.

This crochet pattern is available in English (with American and English crochet terms) and in Dutch.

Skill Level: intermediate (I expect that you have experience with crocheting amigurumi)

Sizes:

• Sammy’s height including the hat = 25 cm / 9.8 inch
• The pumpkins have a diameter of 7 cm / 2.75 inch

Materials:
• Schachenmayr Catania (sport) fine weight 100% cotton yarn (125 m/ 137 yrds / 50 gr per skein)in different colors
• Crochet hook size C/2 (US) / 12 (UK) (= 2.5 mm)
• 2 pieces of cardboard for shoe soles of approx. 3 x 3 cm / 1.2 x 1.2 inch
• Pipe cleaners for arms, legs and head (if desired)
• 2 black buttons for the eyes (may be different sizes; I used 1 button of 0.8 cm and 1 button of 1 cm)
• Optional: 1 flower button for the straps of the dungarees
• Filling (fiberfill)
• Needle for closing seams and sewing eyes and mouth

Vogelverschrikker Sammy is eigenlijk te schattig om vogels te verjagen!

Dit haakpatroon bevat een gedetailleerde beschrijving om de vogelverschrikker, de tuinbroek en de hoed te maken. Het hoofd van Sammy is een pompoen. U kunt ook een allemaal pompoenen maken als herfstdecoratie. Dit is allemaal inbegrepen in het patroon.

Maten:

• De hoogte van Sammy inclusief hoed = 25cm
• De pompoenen hebben een doorsnede van 7 cm

Materialen:
• Schachenmayr Catania – garen voor haaknaald 2,5-3,5 100% katoen (125 m / 50 gr per bol): in verschillende kleuren
• Haaknaald 2,5 mm
• Naald
• Fiberfill vulling
• 2 stukjes karton voor verstevigen schoenzolen van ong. 3 x 3 cm
• Pijpenragers voor armen, benen en hoofd (indien gewenst)
• 2 zwarte knoopjes voor de ogen (mogen verschillende groottes hebben; ik heb 1 knoop van 0,8 cm en 1 knoop van 1 cm gebruikt)
• Optioneel: 1 bloemenknoop voor de banden van de tuinbroek
