PATTERN NOTES
This shawl is knit modularly, beginning with the center rectangle. After the center rectangle is complete, stitches are picked up from the right side of the rectangle and worked to form the right ‘wing’ of the shawl, and then the process is repeated for the left side.
This shawl features a mosaic stitch pattern. When working mosaic, take care to slip stitches with the yarn held in the back of the work on the RS, and with the yarn held in front on the WS. All floats should fall on the WS of the work.
Charts are included in this pattern for both the mosaic section, as well as the lace sections, and a schematic is included to help you visualize the construction of this piece.
