Samhain Shawl
Halloween originated from the ancient and mystical Celtic festival called Samhain (pronounced sow-en) marking the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter.
2 skeins of your favourite fingering weight yarn in two contrast colours, is all that is needed to show off this light and lacy triangle shawl. A wide wingspan to curl around your neck and shoulders. An easy make using dc, puff stitches and shells that will keep your interest as you crochet.
Materials:
Green Elephant Hand Dyed Yarn – Fingering/4 ply sock, 75% wool merino/25% nylon, 100g/425m
MC - 1 skein in Cosmos
CC – 1 skein in Cerise
4mm Crochet Hook
You can use any Fingering weight yarn to achieve a similar effect
• Shawl is a triangle creating a wide wing span with a width of approx. 86in
• The main body is worked in one piece from top down, increasing on each side and in the middle to form a wide triangle.
• It will be helpful to add a stitch marker to the centre ch1 space, and move it up each row.
