Salmabok
Salmabok was designed from a pendant I saw when looking up Viking/ Scandinavian jewelry. While only finding it on Google images, the pendant stuck out to me. This pattern was designed with the Northern Lights in mind and how they flow. With that being said, this pattern is for an Advanced Beginner with some colorwork in it. But only needing two colors allows for flexibility.
This pattern is mostly a guide for how you want to create it and I feel strongly about this. With this and all of my designs, I want the process to be fun and creative with minimal constraints. Allowing full play when making. The yarn for this is Worsted weight but any yarn can be used given its versatility. The gauge is also important if you are sticking to the yarn weight with that being 5 sts= 1”.
You will need two different sizes of needles that are circular, waste yarn, stitch marker, and if you chose to do buttons, you will need eight with 1” in diameter. Their are a variety of languages for this pattern allowing for everyone to enjoy in different languages.
