A cute little diddy! The cable pattern in this cardigan reminds me of the double helix structure of DNA. So I named it Rosie after Rosalind Franklin who was very instrumental in the discovery of the structure of DNA. I shorten the name to better reflect the sweet playfulness of the sweater. I used Shibui Drift for the sample and it is so soft and feels lovely next to the skin.

Finished bust when buttoned: 30.5 (33.25, 36, 39.25, 42.25, 45.5, 48.5, 51.5, 54.5, 57.25, 60.25)“. Size 33.25” modeled with 1” negative ease.
Materials:
Yarn: Shibui Knits Drift, 85% merino, 15% cashmere goat; 101m (110 yds) per 50g skein; color: #2041 Pollen, 8 (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) skeins, 877 (975, 1057, 1174, 1281, 1364, 1475, 1627, 1726, 1831, 1891) yds.
Needles: Size 5/3.75mm 24” circular needle and set of 4 or 5 double-pointed needles.
Other: Stitch markers, stitch holders, spare circular needle or waste yarn, cable needle, tapestry needle, size f crochet hook (optional for buttons)
Gauge: 19 sts and 28 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch. 43-st Back Cable Panel = 6.5” wide when blocked.

Notes: This cardigan is constructed from the top down in one piece with set-in sleeves. The shoulders are shaped by short rows. This cardigan is designed to be form fitting and cropped to work well over dresses.
The length of the body and sleeves is easily adjusted.
If you have trouble with the bobbles going to the WS, on the next row work the bobble stitch tightly.
The buttonhole and button bands are worked as part of the body of the cardigan.
