This sweater is inspired by my love of plants (especially houseplants). Rooted is about as close as I can get to wearing a botanical garden everywhere I go without gluing plants to myself. The sweater is a yoke sweater, knit top - down. Short rows are used for neckline shaping, and the only other shaping is for the sleeves, making it a great unisex sweater. My sample was knit using a different color of Sweet Georgia Yarn’s Tough Love Sock yarn for every plant chart, but this would still be beautiful with 1-3 contrasting colors.

The sizes of this sweater are the finished size.

Choosing the right size: please choose a size that allows at least 4 inches of positive ease to ensure a comfortable fit. We found during testing that a size any smaller than that can feel quite snug. Be sure to also check gauge as you knit, and test the gauge of stockinette in both a solid color, as well as colorwork.
