Rioban
Rioban, meaning ‘ribbon’, is a cozy throw featuring beautiful flowing cable motifs. The blanket is worked in one piece, end-to- end, without the need for complicated center grafting. Narrow columns of eyelets are placed in between the cable sections for additional texture and drape.
The long edges are bordered with simple cables and garter stitch, while the short edges are anchored by deep ribbing. This variety of differently textured stitches mixed with cables and a touch of lace makes Rioban an interesting and fun-to-knit project.
Rioban can be easily resized into a stole or a scarf just by changing the number of repeats worked. Of course, it can be also easily enlarged into a full-size blanket.
