Renaissance Diamond Sweater
This very glittery evening sweater is knitted in lurex and silk to a Double knitting weight, and in a diamond fairisle pattern from a graph
The design is inspired by Elizabethan costumes as seen in paintings by Holbein and the miniaturist Hilliard
The sweater is embellished with pearls and diamante stones and overlaid with figured net fabric
This design can also be knitted as a simplified version using DK wool or cotton and without embellishments
You will need 325-375g ( 12-14 oz) each of the lurex yarn and silk yarn plus 3metres of net fabrics, 2 metres of pearl trim, 70 small sew on rhinestones
There are very clear making instructions with diagrams and colour charts
