The day is mild yet raw. Soggy leaves stick to boot treads as the path winds through the yellow woods. The smell of moss and earth is mixed with basalm pine. Suddenly, the trail breaks open to a bog of honey colored tallgrass, leafless grey trees and bright red winterberries. The boardwalk ahead is planked and clear, leading to adventure.
