“Rakuyou”, falling leaves in Japanese, is a boxy pullover with leaves pattern on the center front.
The pullover is worked from the top down. The fronts and backs are provisionally cast on and German short rows are used to shape the shoulders. They are worked back and forth separately to the underarm, then joined to be worked in the round to the hem. On completion of the body, the shoulders are seamed with three-needle bind off, then sleeves stitches are picked up and worked from the top down in the round.

“Rakuyou (落葉)”は, 前身頃中心に葉っぱの模様が入ったボックス型のプルオーバー.
上から下に向かってトップダウンで編み進めます. 前後身頃には後で解ける作り目, 肩下がりにはドイツ式の引き返し編みが使われています. それぞれを別々に脇下まで往復編みで編み進み, 脇下から輪にして裾まで編みます. 身頃の完成後, 肩を３本針の伏せ止めで接ぎ, 袖の目を拾って上から下に向かってトップダウンで輪にして編みます.
