The Prismatic Pashmina Scarf is long and luxurious.
A combination of lace and stripes run from end to end. This much open work paired with the softest of fibers gives a wonderful flexibility for looping around your neck. With this much length, you can fold it in half, draw the folded part around your neck and slide the two ends through the loop. Wear it as a head covering and scarf combo. Search Google for Pashmina images for more ideas how to wear such a scarf. Experiment! This design is completely reversible. It is also lovely tied in a Pretzel Knot and an illustration for that is included!
The scarf looks great in anything from Fingering to DK weight yarns and it is easy to adjust the width.
Every lacy row is worked the same. The pattern includes two methods of construction; the first method is worked end to end. The second method creates two halves that are grafted together with Kitchener Stitch.
This project is for the Adventurous Beginner (basic lace, garter stitch, grafting option)
This is a rather easy lace project for new or nervous knitters but also fun for the experienced. You can knit from one end to the other or cast on from two separate skeins and work from the ends toward the middle, fastening the two pieces together with Kitchener stitch.
