Pouncing Kitty
If you look from above you see stripes, viewed from an angle a cute pouncing kitty appears. This is a fun, colourful project to brighten up your home.
I have made a dishcloth. You could equally use the square to form part of a blanket project. Why not make kitties in different colours and sew the squares together?
Suitable for a beginner knitter.
Charted and written instructions are given.
Techniques used: Knit, purl, two-row stripes, cast on, bind off, weaving in ends.
Materials:
(Yarn A) Drops Paris 75 m/50 g (82 yds/1.7 oz); one skein in Light Pink and
(Yarn B) one skein in Dark Pink.
Needles/Notions:
4 mm (US 6) needles at least 25 cm/10” in length or any needles for working flat.
A needle size smaller than the one recommended for the yarn is best.
Tapestry needle
Finished size:
22 x 22 cm / 8.5 x 8.5 inches (approximately)
Gauge: 21 sts and 36 rows in pattern stitch.
