You should know how to crochet following stitches:

• ch (chain), sl st (slip stitch), sc (single crochet), dc (double crochet), tr (treble crochet), puff (learn with step pictures).

Pattern includes:

• schematic,
• written instructions,
• diagrams,

• video- and photo-tutorials for drawstring.

Instructions are given in English language, American crochet terminology.

Crochet hooks:

• 1.8 mm, 2.35 mm.

Recommended materials:

• Crochet cotton thread size 10 yarn: Scheepjes Maxi Sugar Rush (100% Cotton; Lace/ #1/ 2ply weight; 50g/ 280m/ 306yds), 245 (265, 285, 305, 325, 345) g/ 6 (6, 6, 7, 7, 7) balls in 505 Linen color.
• Tapestry needle, stitch markers in 4 colors (2 of each), sewing needle and sewing thread in color to match cotton thread.
• Slip, 19 inches (48.3 cm) in XS (S, M) for lining; shown here, Jones New York style #620119 in Nude.

Sizes:

• Hips circumference 33 (35, 37, 39, 41, 43)’’ / 84 (89, 94, 99, 104, 109) cm.
• Skirt is 21’’ / 53.3 cm long for all sizes.

Gauge:

• Waistband motif is 2 ¼’’ / 5.7 cm in diameter; 15 rnds = 4’’ / 10.2 cm in ruffle stitch (stretched down); stitch easily stretches width-wise, so this measurement is not critical for this pattern.

Notes:

• The skirt is made from the waistband down. Use two strands of thread to make the Romanian Cord drawstring. Make drawstring, draw it through top of waistband before attaching tassels, then finish skirt.
