Pollinator
This shawl is a celebration of bees and a reminder to care for them and the environment in which they play their important role. Whether you plant a native garden, become a beekeeper, or just buy local honey, please don’t harm bees and do your best to look after their (and our) environment.
Pollinator is the sister pattern to The Bee Queen shawl and it is also a crescent designed for two colours of fingering weight (4ply) yarn. It is a more casual design featuring garter stitch stripes and a section of simple cable lace reminiscent of the cell structure of honeycomb, a nod to the spread of pollen with bees in flight, and it ends with a border of stingers.
The pattern is written and includes charts and stitch counts as well as yarn usage information. Tick sheet also included.
