Out on the Town Top Down Baby Sweater
by Susan Adkins
I only had three skeins of this yarn and wanted a quick and easy baby sweater that used it all up. This pattern does not require double-pointed for the sleeves because you knit the sleeves flat and then proceed with the circular needles down for the body allowing you to use all of the yarn. I illustrate how to have just enough yarn, how to make a “holeless” increase and how to have the perfect edge via the selvedge edge technique.
I did embroider some top stitching along the placket and collar in a slightly darker yarn for interest and matched the buttons to that yarn. This sweater is fun and quick to make!
