Otra Yoke Cardigan
The Otra Yoke Cardigan is a top-down cardigan worked entirely in the round with a steek for the front of the cardigan. The nostalgic colourwork chart is simple and easy to memorise. Moreover, the length of the body can be modified from a cropped 10” to a full 14” length, and there are two optional waist shaping: for relatively smaller and larger bust-waist differences. This is the yoked cardigan version of the drop shoulder pullover Otra that I published in 2019.

Construction
This simple colourwork cardigan is worked seamlessly in the round, top-down, with a steek along the centre front. There is short-row shaping at the top and bottom of the yoke to make it sit higher on the back than the front.
The rest of the cardigan is worked in plain stockinette stitch in the round, with optional waist shaping, finishing off with rib for both the sleeves and the body. Finally, you pick up stitches for the buttonbands and work these flat.
The steek stitches do not count towards your total stich count, and should be secured using the crochet method before you cut through. If you have substituted with superwash yarn, you should secure the steek with sewing machine seams on either side.
