I decided to create this table runner using five colors to create a subtle change down the length of the table runner. However, you could also create this pattern with fewer colors or just one solid color. The combinations of colors are limitless with this pattern.

The pattern is easy to memorize after one repetition. Once you create the base row of double crochet the pattern repeats with three rows of double crochet followed by three rows of the pattern and then one row of double crochet. The overall pattern is 7 rows in each color.

The runner is then finished off with border border stitch and optional tassels.
