Olive Cardigan V-neck is part of our Olive pattern family – designs that showcase an allover lace patterning with ribbed edges. Worked seamlessly from the top down with 1 strand of Merino and 2 strands of Soft Silk Mohair held together throughout, it is soft, light and airy – just like a cloud. This cardigan features, as the name suggests, a deep V-neck and the Olive stitch pattern. The button band in double-knitting complements the elegant allover lace patterning.
You start with the two fronts and continue with the back down to the underarms. Here the two front pieces and back piece are joined on one needle, working back and forth. Sleeve stitches are picked up and the sleeves shaped with short rows and then worked in the round. Wide ribbed edges finish the body and sleeves. The button band is worked in double-knitting at the end.
The Olive stitch pattern is charted only.
Please note that your main needle (gauge needle) is either 5.5, 6 or 6.5 mm / US9, 10 or 10.5 depending on what size you are knitting.
