Oatlands
The farm from which White Gum Wool originates has a wonderful story. I dream of one day going to visit Nan, the lovely shepherd and owner behind the brand, on her farm in Oatlands, Tasmania. I would love to shadow her as she works, observing the sheep that give us this most beautiful wool, and their interaction with the land. Nan often talks about the different kinds of vegetation to which her sheep have access, and this variety in plant matter is what inspired my OATLANDS hat. Cables and moss stitch work together to represent the landscape of the White Gum Wool farm, providing both rich texture and incredible warmth. Perhaps, some day, I will wear this beanie on Nan’s farm.
The samples shown have been knit in the colourways, “Flax Lily”, and “Natural”.
AOMORI is part of the White Gum Wool Wrapped Collection.
