Nun
The letter “nun” (pronounced noon) in Arabic is the first letter in the word for Nazarene, which is an epithet used against Christians. It is a letter used to mark homes and businesses targeted for death and destruction. It is an extermination notice. This pattern and symbol have even greater meaning to me now as some of the oldest churches in history have been and are being destroyed in Gaza.
I have graphed this letter to use on a facecloth that can be made for charity, a gift, or just a reminder to oneself of what they face. Please consider giving some with bars of soap to those in need, or to send with a note to the refugee camps where sanitary items can be hard to find and Christians are often discriminated against or harassed until they leave.
