Nhéïas is a pretty shawl, all airy, light and soft, with a beautiful play of curves and colors.
Made entirely in garter stitch, it is brightened up with curvy half-stripes created with a series of short rows. The result represents the delicate wings of a dragonfly.
As a matter of fact, this shawl was really inspired by a little dragonfly I had the chance to meet while taking a walk ! I immediately noticed its pretty wings, colored and translucent all at once, with the thin nervures running along.
After a light wet-block, the shawl reaches a span of more than 2 meters and gets to 60 cm at widest point. There is no specific gauge to obtain since the length of the shawl really depends on the way you will block it.
Moreover, even if you are not quite familiar with all the techniques used in this pattern, have no worry !They are fully described in step-by-step video tutorials (links are given in the pattern). Please, be aware that the videos are in French. But I think using the visual support is enough to understand. Still, you may fin other videos in your own language on the net.

Nhéïas est un beau châle léger, fluide, souple, doux, qui joue avec les couleurs et les courbes.
Il est entièrement en point mousse, parsemé de demi-rayures, obtenues grâce à des rangs raccourcis, à l’aspect courbe représentant les jolies ailes bariolées d’une libellule.

Car, en effet, ce châle est inspiré d’une petite libellule que j’ai croisée au gré de mes promenades. J’ai remarqué aussitôt ses jolies ailes à la fois colorées et tout en transparence, laissant apparaître les fines membranes.

Après un blocage léger, le châle mesure plus de 2 m de long pour 60 cm de large. Il n’y a pas d’échantillon spécifique à obtenir car la longueur du châle dépend essentiellement de la mise en forme bloquée que vous ferez.
