The Nedre Foss Hat is inspired by the body of the Fossveien Sweater. It has a folded rib, colorwork, texture, and cables. The pattern also includes two modifications of the pattern: One without colorwork, just texture and cables, and one without the folded rib, just a simple rib.

Three hats in one pattern!

Sizes:
junior/small adult (adult medium/large)

To fit a head circumference of 50-56 cm/19.5- 22 inches (57-63 cm/22.5-25 inches)

The lenght of the hat is about 22 cm/8.5 inches, depending on knitters row gauge, which can be highly induvidual.

Yarn:
DK weight, about 210m/230 yards on 100g
Sample was knit in Hillesvåg Embla – 210 m, 100g

Yarn used:
Main color: 100 g for all sizes
Two colors of waste yarn in similar weight for the colorwork.

Gauge:
20 sts on 10 cm/4 inches, in plain stockinette and colorwork after blocking.

Please make sure to swatch in the round to ensure the most accurate swatch!

Needle sizes:
4 mm (US6) for rib and 4.5 mm (US7) main needle. Or needle you need to hit gauge. If you are unsure what needle size and yarn to choose, make a swatch.

You will also need:
Cable needle, stitch markers/waste yarn and tapestry needle to weave in ends.
