Mystery Benefactor
To receive an unexpected gift is such a blessing; whether it be a large pricey item, or a small invaluable token, the feeling that is invoked upon receipt is sheer delight.
Recently I was fortunate enough to be the recipient of a RAOK (Random Act Of Kindness) – a lovely person sent a beautiful skein of hand dyed yarn my way, and none of my friends would confess to the origin.
To this day, my mystery benefactor remains nameless, however the shawl that was inspired by their gift is now ready for all!
CONSTRUCTION
This is a 3/4 square shawl, constructed from the top down.
Mystery Benefactor sees you casting on with the main colour, and working down the body. The garment has 3 distinct segments – the outer 2 are worked in plain garter stitch, while the centre segment is in delicate leaf lace. The main body of the shawl is worked until all 100g of your main colour is used.
The garment is finished with a simple eyelet lace edging in a contrast colour.
The pattern comes in both written and charted format
