Myrtle Ridge is an elegant and cosy shawl, large enough to snuggle into in the cooler months, and light enough to drape over bare shoulders in the warmer months. Featuring a radiating crescent design in lofty garter stripes, this luxurious merino and silk shawl finishes with a unique lace edging that is reminiscent of the trees in the south west of Western Australia. The finishing touch is a contrasting picot bind off to give the shawl a polished finish.

Construction Notes:
Myrtle ridge is knit from the top down starting with a garter tab cast on. Paired increases form the radiating crescent shape that is finished with a contrasting lace border and a picot bind off.

7 stitch markers

Tension/ gauge:
15 stitches and 32 rows over 10cm/ 4” in garter stitch, washed and blocked firmly.
While swatching is not essential for this project, it is always recommended. Swatching ensures your final shawl knits to the specified dimensions and uses the specified yardage.
