Inspired by the movie Amelie, directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, starring Audrey Toutou, this pullover tries to reflect Amelie’s feminine, quirky and chic style. Knitted in red, a theme colour in the movie, the pullover features stripes of light texture and shadows.

Note: A circular needle with interchangeable needle tips is recommended for knitting sleeve caps using Magic Loop while alternating needle sizes to work Stripe Pattern. Other parts of the garment may be worked with your preferred type of needles and way of changing needle size.

Note
This top-down pullover with textured stripe pattern is first worked flat to shape the back neck, shoulders, front neck and underarm. It is then worked in the round with slight waist shaping. Stitches are picked up around the armhole, then worked in short rows to shape the sleeve cap before the sleeve is worked in the round to the cuff. Hem and cuffs are finished with Stockinette Stitch ruffles. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neck to complete the neckband in the round. Use the Magic Loop method to knit small circumferences as necessary.

Note
ストライプの編み地模様のトップダウンで編むプルオーバー . 最初に後ろ 身頃を編むが, 往復編みで後ろ襟ぐりを作ってから脇下まで編み, 作り目を 拾って同様に前身頃を脇下まで編む. そこで輪にしてウエストシェイプを 入れながら裾まで編む. 袖は袖ぐりから目を拾い引き返し編みで袖山を編 んだ後, 袖口まで編む. 裾と袖口はメリヤス編みのラッフルを編む. 最後に 襟ぐりの目を拾い, 輪で襟を編む. 必要に応じてMagic Loopで編むように する.
