Yarn
This pattern calls for fingering weight yarn in three colors. (Marie and Team Olive Knits used stash yarn, so you can use anything you like – sport weight would be fine, too!)

Main Color (MC) – 1 skein (100 grams/420-440 yards)
Contrast Color 1 (CC1) – dark or medium shade 50 grams (approximately 200 yards, or half a skein)
Contrast Color 2 (CC2) – medium or light shade 50 grams (approximately 200 yards, or half a skein)

Tips for Choosing Your Colors
Main Color – Think of this as your neutral. (Marie used yellow, which is a neutral in her world – ha!)

Contrast Colors – Your contrast colors should be in the same color family. Think of a dark pink and medium pink, or a dark purple and medium purple, or dark grey and medium grey. You could also do a medium/light combination (medium pink/light pink instead of dark pink/medium pink). These should have a reasonable amount of contrast from the MC. Your contrast colors don’t have to have a lot of contrast between themselves (although you do want SOME contrast), but you will want to ensure you have contrast between the Main Color and Contrast Colors so you can see the stitch details.
