Franken-egg was the first Mini-Monster CAL pattern, first released in October 2022.

Franken-egg was the Humpty that all the King’s horses and all the King’s men couldn’t put back together again, so he was taken to Dr Victor Franken-egg who performed a miracle of re-amimation and saved his life!

Franken-egg was made from all the little scraps of yarn left over in the Doctor’s stash basket. You can make yours too from your scrappy stash!
PATTERN NOTES

This is a beginner friendly pattern, which uses the amigurumi crochet technique of continuous spirals and basic crochet stitches, including UK dc (US sc), spike stitch, hdc, and trebles (US dc). details are added using surface embroidery.

(This is a mini pattern with tutorial photos but not as much detail as my other patterns, so you will need to understand basic crochet terms and techniques to make this pattern. That’s why I’ve priced it lower than the other Mini-Monster CAL patterns).

YOU WILL NEED
DK Acrylic Yarn in
Green - 15g
Grey - 5-10g
Black - 5-10g
Metaillic Grey -2g

1 Pair 8mm Eyes
3mm Hook
Darning Needle
Blocking/Ami Pins
Approx 50g toy stuffing

ABBREVIATIONS - UK TERMS
ch - chain
dc- double crochet (sc US terms)
hdc - half double crochet
tr - treble (dc US terms)
Mr - magic ring ( magic circle/magic loop)
BLO - back loop/s only
FLO -front loop/s only
F.O. - fasten off
dc2tog - decrease by crocheting 2 stitches together
spst - spike stitch
dcinc - increase by making 2dc in one hole
