This shawl combines all my favorite things - cables, lace, garter stitch and gradient yarn. Milton is worked sideways, forming an asymmetrical triangle. Once the body of the shawl is complete,
a few stitches are cast on and a lace border is worked.

Pattern Notes
On some rows, you’ll be binding off 3 stitches at the edge of the shawl. After binding off these 3 stitches, there’s 1 stitch on right-hand needle. This counts as the first stitch worked after the stitches are bound off (i.e., it’s the first stitch of the k5 that that follows the binding off on charts A & B and the first stitch of the k3 that follows the binding off on chart C).

For the shawl sample shown, the gradient kit was worked starting with the darkest blue color working to the darkest grey color, changing skeins at the beginning of a row, when necessary. The final skein of the kit was started on the lace border section of shawl.
