Mesmeric pullover
Mesmeric is a seamless pullover knit from the top down. The design uses Contiguous set in sleeves method developed by Suzie M.
This is a V-neck pullover with the options of both 3/4 and long sleeves.
The lace details on the sleeves and hem adds to the beauty of the garment in its own unique way!
Note: This pattern requires the knitter to work from a chart.
Sizes: XS (S, M, L) ; 28/30 (32/34, 36/38, 40/42)inches
Finished bust measurements: 28.6 ( 32, 34.6, 39.3)“/ 72.6 (81, 87.88, 100)cm
This pullover is designed to be worn with a small amount of negative ease. The pattern already incorporates about 2” /5 cm of negative ease.
Gauge: 24 sts & 32 rows = 4” in St st worked flat with US# 4 (3.50 mm) needles after wet blocking.
Materials:
Fingering weight yarn- 3/4 sleeve length given below, yardage will inc with full sleeve length.
Approximate yardage : 880 (880, 1320, 1320)yards or 805 (805, 1207, 1207)m
Fingering weight yarn-Full sleeve length given below.
Approximate yardage : 1000 (1150, 1400, 1450)yards or 914 (1051, 1280, 1316)m
Sample of pink pullover Size 28/30 with 3/4 sleeves is knitted with:
Malabrigo Sock 100% merino; 440yd/402m per 100g/3.53oz skein; color: light of love 2 skeins.
Needles:
Body and sleeves: US# 4 (3.50 mm); 16” and 29” cir and dpn.
Body lace hem only: US# 5 (3.75 mm); 29” circular needle.
Ribbing (sleeve, neckline): US# 3 (3.25 mm); 16” circular (cir) and a set of double-pointed (dpn).
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions:
Stitch markers, as needed. One of different color to denote BOR marker
Large stitch holders or waste yarn.
Tapestry needle.
Notes
The neckline is worked flat back and forth before joining the fronts. Sleeve stitches are placed on waste yarn while the body is worked in the round till hem ribbing. Neckband stitches are picked up and worked in the round. The sleeves are then worked in the round from the armholes down to cuff.
