Merricks
A beautifully textured, triangle-point shawl working with two complementary, hand-painted colourways and a single contrasting semi-solid.
Inspired by the colours and textures of the rock pools along the coastline, Merricks is a cosy, easy-to-knit-shawl that will be a pleasure to make and to wear.
Worked in garter stitch, with bands of a simple slip stitch, and finished with a sawtooth lace border.
This is a written pattern

Notes
This shawl uses a Garter Tab cast-on, which is a lovely, seamless way to integrate your cast on into the shawl’s edge. Instructions are provided.
The stitch patterns in this pattern are beautifully simple. For this reason, written instructions only, not charts, are included.
An 80cm/32in circular needle should accommodate to total stitch count throughout this pattern, however if you are finding it difficult to manage the increasing stitch count comfortably, you could change to a 100cm/40in circular needle when commencing working with MC2.
