In Sanskrit language, Marakata is the translation for Emerald, and means “the green of growing things”. Emerald is considered to symbolize future, growth and renewal.
Thanks to a simple and repetitive ribbing stitch pattern, that mimics a chain of small emerald, and using one skein of worsted weight yarn, you will be able to obtain a squishy and soft cowl that will sweet your freezing winter days!

Marakata is worked in the round top down. Smart use of stitch pattern allows the bottom cowl circumference to grow for a better fitting when worn.
