The designer created the “Map of the World” sweater for Vogue Knitting, Spring/Summer 1991 and reworked the design as an afghan for this issue.

From Vogue Knitting, Fall 2002: “Different areas of the afghan can be isolated and turned into separate designs for pillows … these images can be used on sweaters, totes or other projects.”
