Mornings are still chilly as bare feet pad across the bare wooden floor. The house smells of a mixture of fresh coffee and woodsmoke. Outside, the air is mild but the wind blows just hard enough to bring a chill. Sunlight breaks through each window slowly, inching across the floor like the hands turning across the face of a clock. The morning is restful, slow, intentional, and relaxed.
