> Maid Marian Hood
Maid Marian Hood
This romantic lace hood and capelet incorporates a leaf motif that
appears random even though it is just a large repeat.
Maid Marian is an organic design that follows the Romantic ideal of
living in harmony with nature. You can imagine yourself as Maid
Marian slipping through the woods to tryst with Robin.
Beads can be added for an elegant touch. Short rows continue the
leaf motif seamlessly into the bind off. You can wear it closed with
an antique brooch or simply wrapped around your shoulders.
Maid Marion works from the top down, starting center out working in the round, dividing to make an opening for the face.
Gauge
26 sts and 26 rows = 4” 10cm in STM after
blocking. Due to the fabric characteristics of lace,
we strongly suggest swatching in pattern, using
the directions included.
