LOVING YOU
A loose cover-up tunic using a heart pattern-repeat. The design is fine and light; just lots of hearts in an easy rhythm. Required two 100g hanks of any of our ‘Warm’ 4ply yarns.

ABBREVIATIONS
k: knit | p: purl | PU: pick-up
Rnd: round | R: row | st(s): stitch(es) |
RS / WS: right-side / wrong-side
pm / slm: place marker / slip marker
R-H / L-H: right-hand / left-hand
3 needle cast-off: hold two needles in parallel with RS facing (ridge will show) or WS facing (no ridge will show), insert needle into one st from front needle and one from back and k into both together. Repeat above so 2 sts have been worked, pass first st over second (casting-off in the usual way), repeat working both sts (from front and back needle) as above until all sts have been cast-off.
p/k double yo: purl/knit double yarn overs; insert needle into st on L-H needle purl-wise (as if to purl)/knitwise )as if to knit), wrap yarn around needle twice, creating two loops around needle, finish off by pulling loops through st in usual way. When you come to these sts work each double yo as one st – this will give a large loop to work in on next rnd.
Create ‘Heart st’: slip next 2 sts (these will be 2 x p double yos) back onto RH needle, pass first slipped st over second slipped st and place this st on to L-H needle, (effectively crossing sts over each other), place second slipped st onto L-H needle, bring yarn to front, k first st on L-H needle, then k second st on L-H needle in usual way, place yarn to back of work
