During the Covid-19 lockdown, I realised I didn’t have enough yarn of a single colour or weight to design anything substantial, but I did have a lot of merino lace yarn in single skeins that could work. The pandemic meant making do with what you have, and this sweater symbolises that.

The sweater is made from the bottom up, sleeves added and cuff and hem ribbing are added in a join as you go manner.

6 different colour lace yarn are required. Two strands of different colours are held together throughout, except for the ribbing where one colour is used.

Sizing: S to 3XL

Gauge: 14hdc over 12 rows with lace yarn held double measures 10x10cm

Materials: 5x100gr & 1x50gr lace weight yarn in different colours

You will have some left-over yarn after making your sweater - the Lily Lace Cowl is a free bonus pattern specifically designed to use up your left-over yarn!
